PATROL
Smart Patrol is a mobile application for city patrol agents. It enables cities to effectively run their parking patrol operations and maximize collection of revenue from parking and other violations. This feature directly connects city field enforcement teams with the Platform which enables quick and efficient reporting of any violation detected in the field within the Platform as well as verification of the data supplied by mobility and parking operators.
Connect to the Platform from the field
This solution enables the city patrol teams to efficiently monitor all vehicles and shared mobility devices in the field and verify the accuracy of the data shared into the Platform by parking and mobility operators. Patrol teams will be equipped with Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) integrating a mobile tool that is automatically synchronized with both Mobility Manager and Parking Manager. The mobile application is designed to enable city teams to cross-validate the data in the field with the data collected on the Platform and create violations that will be automatically added to the violations list on the Mobility Manager Platform. For example, patrol agents will instantly detect whether a vehicle has a proper parking permit (residential, handicapped, etc.) by scanning its license plate.
Enforce city policies with digital and ground actions
Smart Patrol feature complements the data from the Parking and Mobility Managers and allows patrol teams to enforce city parking policies in the field. For example, effective enforcement of micromobility parking policy is done by noting vehicles within Mobility Manager that are improperly parked or piled on a sidewalk. Patrols teams will also be able to scan random vehicles to verify if they are properly registered and automatically send an alert to the provider in case of a violation.
Smart patrolling shift planning with machine learning
Smart Patrol feature optimizes city patrol operations. The city can be divided into control areas and control routes, and each enforcement team will automatically receive its patrol route before its shift. Data-based algorithms with machine learning are able to analyze trends in the parking violations previously reported, to create high violations risk areas that will be prioritized during patrols. It has been proven to maximize the collection of city parking revenue.
Patrolling synergies
Easy-to-use app allows agents on foot to detect violations in less than a minute by simply scanning a vehicle. Patrolling synergy is also feasible as parking enforcement officers would work not only with traditional vehicles unlawfully parked but also with new forms of mobility during the same shift. In addition, Smart Patrol feature can be used to create fines or penalty points for violations detected by patrol teams in the field.
Scalable policies
Just like Mobility Manager and Parking Manager platforms, Smart Patrol is scalable and can accommodate any number of policies. The following policies are currently supported:
- Unlawful parking policy
- Unregistered asset policy
- Incorrectly reported data policy
Any other policies could be easily implemented.
